Vélo, végétarisme, rejet de l’hyperconsumérisme, abandon de grands projets… Face aux urgences environnementales, des stratégies et comportements allant au-delà de la simple amélioration des technologies remettent en cause les fondements de nos (sur)consommations de ressources. Le concept de sobriété, notamment énergétique, suscite un intérêt croissant de la part des sciences sociales et politiques. Energy sobriety: a disruptive notion that is increasingly in the spotlight
Cycling, vegetarianism, rejection of hyperconsumerism, scrapping of major projects… Faced with a rise in environmental disasters, the very foundations of our (over)consumption of resources are being called into question by new strategies and behaviours that go beyond a simple improvement in technologies. The concept of sobriety, in particular energy sobriety, is catching on in the social and political sciences. What can they tell us about the role that sobriety could play in the energy transition?
